The Light Kindlers, a dedicated team from Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus, Malaysia organized a charity event called Chasing Light throughout the month of April 2014. They take pride in the fact that the Taylor’s Talent Management Group under the establishment of Student Experience is dedicated to give back to society. The team strongly believes that every person has the potential to be far greater than just good. The group planned to use this platform to create an opportunity for children from whatever background they come from to be celebrated as a unique and valued individual. It was their ideal that this initiative will be able to send forth positive vibes to the community and inspire youth worldwide to follow their passion.

Every great journey starts with a first step forward. To fulfill our vision, Light Kindlers started by conducting workshops every week from 5th of April to the 26th of April for the children from Rumah Kasih to have an educational experience on our campus. Taylor's students were welcome you to join in the workshops and give these children a memory and experience they will never forget. The activities schedule were posted on the group's website and Facebook page. They also planned a field trip to PetroSains for the children; a perfect place to experience the showcase of exhibits featuring the wonders of science and technology.

A fund raising sale ran throughout the entire campaign in front of the Student Life Centre from 31st March to 25th April 2014. With a minimum donation of RM5, students received a glow-in-the-dark wristband in the colour of their choice. All the donations went to Rumah Kasih. The group made it possible to order a wristband through email or text message. All students needed to do was specify the color of wristband, the amount of donation, message it to 012-289 8816 or email to chasinglight2014@gmail.com.. Chasing Light ended with a Graduation Day for the children on 26th April 2014, celebrated at Taylor’s University.
